The Petra Vest is great for  advanced beginner and intermediate crocheters. It's a great top for lounging or dressing up, and looks amazing layered over a turtleneck top.
 
The pattern includes written instructions for how to crochet the vest, as well as pictures of the process. There are instructions for measurements, and it can be adjusted to make it a longer vest as well. It is a made-to-measure patter with suggestions for sizes XS-5XL so it is inclusive for all body types and sizes.
 
This pattern has been pattern tested.
 
MATERIALS:
It uses a 4 worsted weight cotton or acrylic yarn, and a 4 mm hook. 
 
PROCESS:
You will need to know how to make a slip knot, chain, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet. You will make a front and back panel, assemble them, and then add trimming.
